Mission to the Cosmic Frontier

SCRATCH Skills

You are going to be developing your core SCRATCH skills by programming a spaceship to navigate through space obstacles, and collect stardust while exploring the cosmic frontier, program a space rover to navigate challenging terrains as you explore the planets and write code to be used in Alien interactions.

Game Development

There are a number of threats in the Cosmic Frontier - to help us with our defences, we shall be creating a game which sees us take on an alien UFO and avoid the different  time and logic bombs which it uses to defend itself.

Machine Learning

We shall be developing our understanding of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence by assisting CosmoTech researchers to classify images of meteorites, asteroids, and comets,  train a computer to understand a unique alien language and help COSMObot, our intergalactic explorer, to play a Breakout-style arcade game.

Python Challenge

Python is a really cool language to learn and one of the fastest growing in terms of popularity - We will be making the shift from SCRATCH to PYTHON by exploring how Python coding blocks fit together and then using this knowledge to create some simple games, develop an alien name generator and calculate our weight on different planets in the solar system

Robotics 101

We are going to be taking a mission to a nearby planet where we will be learning about Space and using our Robots to solve a number of challenges. It is not going to be easy as we have to prepare for the mission, assemble the crew, establish communications, secure the power supply, free the MSL robot and launch the satellite - With recruits like you involved, I know we will be successful.

Minecraft Challenge

Using Minecraft Education we are going to use different coding blocks and programs to help us with our creations - We will be coding and creating our own Space HQ for CosmoTech
